ABOUT FEED LEASE CORPORATION
For over 40 years, Feed Lease Corporation has been designing and building premium quality, high performance press room automation equipment. Starting in 1969, FLC has been building air feeds, coil cradles, coil reels and powered straightners. By the early 1980’s, they created a diverse and broad line of peripheral coil handling equipment. These include coil cars, coil elevators, coil storage racks, coil up enders, space saving coil handling systems, electronically controlled zig zag feed systems and much more.
CONVENTIONAL COIL FEED LINES
A conventional line consists of a servo feed, a powered straightener and a pull-off coil reel with or without a coil car. A conventional line’s versatility is a huge advantage, allowing a wide variety of material widths, thicknesses and yield strengths to be run on one line.
SPACE SAVER COIL FEED LINES
A synchronized line is a conventional feed line, but with one significant difference – no loop. This is a line that may normally require 45-50 feet of floor space and the expense of a looping pit, instead requires only about 30 feet with no pit.
This space saver design combines a feeder/straightener with a powered reel. The slack loop is developed below the spindle, reducing floor space significantly compared to conventional slack loops.
Another space saver design is our innovative Smart Saver. For many applications, Smart Saver can save as much as 50% of the floor space required by a conventional feed line without making sacrifices in performance.
HIGH STRENGTH STEEL COIL FEED LINES
High strength steels require special considerations be taken when building a feed line – significantly larger straightener rolls and roll spacing than mild steel. Feed Lease is an expert at running high strength steel.
RF-2.5 Series servo feeds are designed to provide an economical means of employing servo feed technology on smaller presses without sacrificing quality, accuracy, durability or power.
Series Servo Feeds
The RF Series feeds are ideal for medium to heavy duty stamping and cut-to-length applications. This series comes in six sizes, ranging from 3” TO 8” diameter feed rolls in an array of coil widths.
4-roll feeds from Feed Lease can be a good choice when running wide, lighter gauge material. Since four rolls contact the material instead of two, the per-roll pressure can be reduced. For sensitive materials where not marking or stretching the material is critical.
Air feeds are a simple coil-feeding option best suited for low volume operations.
Power Core Feeder/Straightener
The power core series of feeder/straigheners marks a huge advancement in feeding wide and/or heavy-gauge, high strength material within a space saver feed line. Much heavier-duty than a servo feed with a pull-thru straightener, the servo powered, Power Core system drives all upper and lower pinch rolls and feed rolls and all lower straightener rolls together with a common gear train.
Servo Feeds with Pull-Thru Straighteners
Another option for feeder/straightener units is a servo feed with a pull-thru straightener. These systems are a great way to save space and cost.
The MPS series offer a rugged, yet affordable, powered straightener design. These straighteners are designed for light and medium gauge material
The PS series is the original series of straighteners built by Feed Lease. This proven design provides an extremely rugged design, even on the smaller models. These straighteners can be used in a large variety of applications.
SINGLE ARM COIL REELS
Feed Lease builds coil reels ranging from 1,500 lbs capacity to 60,000 Lbs capacity.
DOUBLE ARM COIL REELS
Double arm coil reels are ideal for continuous line operation and can drastically reduce coil change downtime. The material can be loaded and readied on one side of the reel while the opposite side is paying out stock.
Feed Lease builds coil cradles in capacities from 4,000 Lbs. to 50,000 Lbs. These cradles have been in our customers’ facilities for decades and are a genuinely proven design.
Feed Lease Corporation offers a comprehensive remanufacturing program
for your older coil handling equipment. Often remanufacturing can provide
a more economical solution to your production needs than new equipment.
